MUTUALLY ASSURED DEMOCRACY

MADVoters is an Indiana nonprofit that educates our fellow Hoosiers on voting, legislation, and civics. Our goal is to empower everyone to advocate for themselves in every aspect of civic life. We call this Mutually Assured Democracy.

What is nonpartisan? We are nonpartisan, but that doesn’t mean we’re neutral. Our work is rooted in an unyielding commitment to progress, inclusion, and equity. Rather than aligning ourselves with a political party, we are values driven. This means sometimes we find ourselves on a parallel path with elected officials, and other times we oppose their actions or policies. We are not an arm of any political party. We believe the principles we’re fighting for are good for every Hoosier - not just Republicans or Democrats. We believe that every Hoosier deserves fairness, transparency, and accountability from their government.

IMPORTANT NEWS

Bills are being filed at the statehouse and will continue to through the first week of January. Did you know legislators can file over 1,000 bills per session and about 25% of them pass into law? That means we are already busy behind the scenes deciphering language and determining what legislation could have the biggest impacts good or bad. If you'd like to get involved with reading policy, or assisting in a specific area like economics, community safety, education, healthcare, or democracy, please fill out this form and we'll be in touch soon.
